Zilker Botanical Garden tucks 26 acres of themed gardens into the hills along Barton Springs Road, including the koi ponds and stone paths of the Isamu Taniguchi Japanese Garden and a Hartman Prehistoric Garden built around dinosaur tracks found on the site. The nonprofit Conservancy that helps steward the grounds works alongside the City of Austin, so a visit supports the upkeep of the plantings you'll wander through.

Barton Springs Pool
