Harry Ransom Center is a humanities research library and museum at UT Austin, holding literary and cultural archives ranging from the manuscripts of writers like James Joyce and David Foster Wallace to one of the few complete Gutenberg Bibles in the United States and the world's first photograph. The ground-floor galleries are free and open to the public, and you'll notice the building's etched-glass windows first—their reproductions of pages and images glow in the afternoon light before you even step inside.
