Tucked along the Colorado River just west of downtown, this leafy park is home to Deep Eddy Pool, a spring-fed swimming hole that's one of the oldest in Texas—its water stays bracingly cool even in the thick of an Austin summer. Come early on a hot day, since locals know the shaded lawns and lap lanes fill up fast once the temperature climbs.
